Privacy Policy

This is a placeholder. Replace it with your own jurisdiction-specific privacy policy before going to production. If you operate from Sweden / the EU, you must cover GDPR (lawful basis, data subject rights, retention, transfers, DPO contact). Consider a service like Termly, iubenda, or a lawyer to draft a real one.

1. What we collect

Sessions: media URLs you load and segments you mark are stored in your browser's local storage. They are not sent to our servers unless you post them as part of a comment.
Comments: name (optional), text, star rating, optional image attachment, a random device ID, and timestamp. Stored in our Supabase database.
Payments: if you ever purchase a download, billing details are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store card details.
Logs: the host (Netlify) records IP addresses and User-Agent strings for normal request logging.

2. Why we collect it

To run the comments section, prevent abuse, and process payments. We don't sell your data.

3. Cookies and local storage

We use localStorage for app preferences (language, theme, autosave, sessions, like history). No third-party tracking cookies.

4. Your rights (EU/UK)

You can request access, correction, or deletion of your data by emailing the address below. Comments can also be deleted by reporting them.
